During a facelift, Elena makes an incision and detaches the facial skin from the deeper structures, pulling it gently up and backward, trimming the excess skin.
During the procedure, Elena may use a combination of techniques to achieve the desired result.
For example, she may take the opportunity to redefine your facial contours and restore fullness to your features using fat transfer from elsewhere on your body.
Many people develop a pad of fat under the chin as they age. Elena often uses liposuction to remove these stubborn fat deposits.
If you have unsightly neck bands, Elena can remove them by tightening the muscles under the skin of your neck.

From M5 Junction 17
Follow the A4018 for Bristol West and Bristol Zoo for approximately four miles. With the Downs and water tower on the right, you will come to a roundabout on this road. Take the left-hand turn into Redland Hill and immediately turn left into Spire Bristol Hospital.
From M4 Junction 19
Follow the M32 leading into Bristol. Take the M32 into the city centre and then follow the signs for Clifton and the A4018. At the top of Whiteladies Road, bear right for Redland to find the hospital.
Bristol Spire Hospital has 100 free car parking spaces.
Take the train to either Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads stations. Bristol Parkway station is approximately four miles from Spire Bristol Hospital (20-30 minutes by taxi) on the outskirts of Bristol. Elena lifts the skin off the deeper facial structures, gently pulls the skin in an upward and posterior direction, removes the excess skin and perform tightening or remodelling of the deeper tissues of the face (SMAS lift). Fat transfer is often performed to improve areas of missing volume which is crucial for juvenile looking face. A small incision, or cut, may be made under the chin to tighten the skin and deeper tissue of the neck. The underlying muscle called platysma may be tightened to remove unfavourable looking neck bands (platismoplasty procedure). Chin liposuction is often performed to remove fat excess under the chin.
It is common to experience swelling, bruising, and some areas of numbness after your procedure. Most of the bruising after a facelift takes 10-14 days to resolve. Swelling will steadily improve over about two weeks, and some areas will recover much quicker than others. Certain areas may hold onto swelling longer.
A mini facelift reduces minor sagging on the lower face and neck. It is a minimal skin tightening procedure which offers shorter-lived results than a traditional facelift.
