If diet and exercise won’t shift that stubborn fat, then it may be time to consult the Elena Prousskaia Clinic about having lipo in London.
Despite our best efforts, we can’t all achieve the body we want. Lifestyle changes may have little impact on a body that has been shaped by the genes that we have inherited or changed by the ageing process. Liposuction offers a surgical solution to stubborn fat deposits and can help to restore your confidence in your appearance.
Elena Prousskaia is one of the UK’s most highly regarded aesthetic surgeons. She has several highly successful clinics in the UK and is one of the leading providers of cosmetic surgery in London.
Liposuction is a major procedure, but you can have complete confidence in the expertise and skill of Ms Elena Prousskaia.
Elena has been working as a successful plastic and cosmetic surgeon for more than two decades, both as an award-winning NHS Consultant and a private practitioner with her own chain of clinics. Elena is renowned for her surgical expertise and the artistry of her work. She also has a reputation for treating all her patients with friendliness and compassion.
Elena uses liposuction sparingly and sensitively to sculpt her patients’ bodies, reducing small areas of fat. She is exceptionally skilled at recontouring the hip and thigh area, which is excellent news for the many pear-shaped women among us. Elena does not undertake high volume liposuction for weight loss, believing that such procedures are dangerous and damaging to the health. Elena’s London clinic is based in the renowned Welbeck Hospital near Harley Street.
Ms Prousskaia makes small incisions of 5mm in length in the area being treated. Fat is removed through multiple cannulas inserted into the incisions.
Many of Elena’s patients have treatment on the inner and outer thighs, the stomach, abdomen, hips, knees, and chin. Elena uses liposuction to improve the contours of the body. She can significantly improve the size and shape of the area around the hips and thighs, which is such a problem area for so many women.
Liposuction can take up to three hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. Most procedures require a general anaesthetic and an overnight stay. However, If the site to be treated is small, then Ms Prousskaia may treat you as a day patient using a local anaesthetic instead.
You will experience some tenderness after surgery and will need to wear an elasticated support garment for a few weeks. Ms Prousskaia will review your progress at regular consultations for the first year after your surgery. Scarring is minimal after liposuction, and when you have fully recovered from your surgery, you will be delighted with your new shape. You will be able to fit into more fitted clothing, and you will have far more confidence in your appearance.
Liposuction is very safe in the hands of an experienced surgeon like Elena Prousskaia. However, as with all surgeries, there is a risk of bleeding and bruising. All patients have a very detailed consultation before the surgery involving a discussion of their expectations and thorough medical history.
All patients have an initial consultation which costs £250. The total cost of the surgery starts at £4950 and is dependent on the number and size of the areas to be treated. Please note that this is a guide price only and that Ms Prousskaia will confirm the cost after her consultation with you.
The London clinic is located in the London Welbeck Hospital, one of the capital’s leading private healthcare providers. The hospital is in the city of Westminster, close to Harley Street, the internationally famous centre of medical excellence. Mayfair and Regent’s Park are within walking distance. This area of West London offers plenty of high-quality accommodation for clients who travel to attend Ms Prousskaia’s clinic.

It’s important to point out that liposuction is not an alternative to losing weight because only a limited amount of fat can be removed in one operation. Elena’s policy is not to perform massive volume liposuction, as it can be dangerous to your health. Used sparingly and sensitively, however, it can have great results on certain areas, such as the outer thighs where some women have a genetic predisposition to gaining fat.
Elena will talk you through all the necessary pre-surgery investigations, as well as the after-care required. She will also fully explain the risks associated with the operation. We will only go ahead with the procedure once you are completely ready and happy with the choice we have made together. The good news is that the scars after liposuction are usually almost invisible and your clothes will fit better. Following your treatment, however, you will be a bit sore for a few weeks and will require an elasticated support garment during this period. Before you leave the Clinic, our team will make sure you’re completely informed about how best to care for yourself during the recovery period. Aftercare is a huge priority for us and we’re always available for any questions during the weeks and months after your procedure.

Elena will discuss your desired outcome and the specific treatment in detail during your initial consultation. If necessary, It is possible to have more than one session. Normally these will be at least 6 months apart.
As with any major surgery, liposuction carries risks, such as bleeding and a reaction to anaesthesia. Your decision to have this operation should be based on your careful evaluation of all the possible risks and the potential benefits. Most patients undergoing this surgery do not experience complications. However, you should discuss all possible risks and your tolerance of complications with your consultant plastic surgeon, Miss Prousskaia, in order to make sure that you fully understand the implications and consequences of having fat transfer. Possible complications specific to liposuction include: Contour irregularities, your skin may appear bumpy, wavy or withered due to uneven fat removal, poor skin elasticity and unusual healing. Elena will provide you with further information with the risks and provide you with a detailed consent form during your consultations. This will help you to minimise the risks.
Elena prides herself on taking the time to truly understand a patient’s aims and discussing what result will work best given the patient’s individual characteristics. In patients with skin irregularities and loose skin, skin excess may not adapt by itself after liposuction and may require additional skin tightening techniques. Skin irregularities may not always improve with liposuction.
The total cost of the surgery will be confirmed after the first consultation.
The cost includes the hospital, surgeon and anaesthetic fees. It also covers all post-operative visits. The initial consultation fee will be invoiced separately. The prices apply only at the time of publication and are subject to changes without notification.
