Elena will make incisions behind your ear so there will be no visible scarring. She will remodel your ear by removing excess skin and cartilage and then repositioning it closer to your head.
Every ear is different, so your surgery will be tailored to your requirements. Elena will discuss the surgical techniques she will use during your initial consultation.
Once the surgery is finished, the incisions are stitched up and a dressing is applied.
Otoplasty takes under two hours and may be performed under general anaesthetic or with a local anaesthetic and sedation.
You can see some before and after pictures on our ear correction surgery page here.
It may take up to six weeks for your ears to heal and for the full benefits of your otoplasty to be revealed. However, surgery will give you much neater ears in proportion to the size and shape of your head and other features.
The cost of surgery starts at £5280, but this may vary between individuals as the operation is bespoke.
A further cost of between £200 and £250 is charged for an initial consultation to discuss the surgery.
